A new Jewish educational initiative called AchvatOlam, meaning 'global solidarity' in Hebrew, is being launched to teach Jewish history, cultures and languages outside of Israel. The school says it will engage with Hebrew and Israel's history from a non-Zionist perspective, offering an alternative framework for Jewish learning that is not centred on Israel.

Why now: It presents a rare explicitly non-Zionist approach to Jewish education, sparking debate about identity and Israel's role in Jewish life.
