PM says it is 'clear' Russia interfered with Brexit vote
The Prime Minister has stated it is 'clear' that Russia interfered in the 2016 Brexit referendum, renewing a long-running controversy over foreign involvement in the UK's vote to leave the European Union. The claim is prompting debate in Britain about the extent of Russian meddling and what, if any, action the government should take in response.
Why now: A sitting Prime Minister publicly asserting Russian interference in the Brexit vote is a major and contentious political claim.
