Original: Austin's Hideout Theatre improvises in search for new space after leaving downtown
Austin's Hideout Theatre has left its downtown location and is now looking for a new space, turning to the improv spirit it is known for as it searches for a future home. The closure of its long-running downtown venue leaves a gap in the city's comedy and theatre scene while the company weighs its options.
Why now: The beloved improv venue's departure from downtown is a notable loss for Austin's live comedy scene, prompting local interest in where it will land.
