Netanyahu orders prosecution of soldiers in NAZA documentary
Original: NAZA: Netanyahu orders identification and prosecution of film’s interviewees
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the identification and prosecution of soldiers and officers who appeared in NAZA, a documentary produced with The Guardian. He called for a criminal investigation into the interviewees. The film features Israeli troops speaking about their experiences, and the order has drawn attention to the government's response to soldiers speaking publicly.
Why now: The Israeli prime minister's call to criminally investigate his own country's soldiers over a documentary is an unusual and controversial move.
