United Nations pushes to make inclusion a foundation, not an afterthought
Original: Rethinking inclusion: From afterthought to foundation
The United Nations is calling for inclusion to be treated as a foundational principle rather than an afterthought in policy and development work. The message argues that accessibility and participation should be built into systems from the start, shaping how institutions design programmes and serve communities worldwide.
Why now: The UN is spotlighting inclusion as a core agenda item, prompting discussion about how institutions should embed it in their work.
