A mutual aid appeal circulating on Mastodon says the poster's request has stalled for five and a half days with $295 still needed. They are asking twelve people to each send $25 to cover October food, pharmacy costs, a medical appointment co-pay and a $48 phone bill, noting they live below the poverty line and that even $5 helps.
Why now: Mutual aid networks and disability and LGBTQ communities are being asked to boost a stalled fundraising appeal before month's end.
