German police seize robot after alleged groping incident
Original: Robot seized by German police after allegedly groping teenage girl
German police have seized a robot after a teenage girl alleged that the machine groped her. The unusual case, reported by the BBC, raises questions about how authorities handle incidents involving machines rather than human suspects, since a robot cannot be prosecuted in the ordinary way.
Why now: The bizarre nature of a robot being treated as a suspect in a sexual harassment complaint makes the story widely discussed.
