Trump touts booming economy at Montana rally amid supporter unease
Original: Trump touts booming economy at Montana rally, but supporters feel the pinch
President Donald Trump held a rally in Montana where he celebrated a booming US economy, but many of his own supporters there said they are still struggling with high living costs. The contrast between the administration's upbeat economic messaging and the financial pressure felt by voters has drawn attention, raising questions about whether strong headline figures are reaching ordinary households ahead of coming political contests.
Why now: The gap between official economic optimism and supporters' own financial struggles is striking a nerve with voters and commentators.
