White House behind order limiting Starshield for Ukraine, sources say

Original: Order to limit Starshield for Ukraine came from inside White House, sources say

Reuters reports, citing sources, that the decision to restrict Ukraine's use of SpaceX's Starshield satellite service came from inside the White House rather than from the company. The claim puts the US administration at the centre of questions over how much battlefield access Kyiv has to American space capabilities, and is drawing scrutiny of the policy and who authorised it.

Why now: It reveals US government involvement in restricting a key military space capability for Ukraine at a sensitive point in the war.
