Amsterdam server seized at request of US authorities
Original: Seized server Autistici/Inventati (A/I) in Amsterdam for U.S. authorities
Dutch authorities have seized a server in Amsterdam operated by the activist collective Autistici/Inventati at the request of United States authorities, reportedly in connection with allegations related to antifa. The collective provides email and hosting services to activists and left-wing groups. The seizure has drawn attention from privacy and digital rights advocates concerned about police cooperation between the Netherlands and the US targeting activist infrastructure.
Why now: A European-hosted activist server being handed over to US law enforcement raises concerns about digital privacy and cross-border policing.
