Musk pledges share of SpaceX for 'every kid in America'
Original: Musk pledges to give a share of his SpaceX company to 'every kid in America'
Elon Musk has pledged to give a share of his SpaceX company to 'every kid in America', a promise reported by the Associated Press. The announcement came alongside donations involving Anthropic, and reactions online have been divided between praise for the scale of the gesture and scepticism about how such a giveaway would actually work in practice.
Why now: Musk made an unusual and sweeping pledge about distributing ownership of one of the world's most valuable private companies to American children.
