No official XScreenSaver GitHub repository exists, maintainer warning
Original: There is no official XScreenSaver GitHub repository
XScreenSaver, the long-running open-source screensaver collection for Unix systems, has no officially sanctioned GitHub repository. A widely shared post points out that repositories presenting themselves as official on GitHub are not the real project. Users are advised to rely on the project's own site for authentic source code and releases.
Why now: Developers are warning others that GitHub mirrors claiming to be official could be fake or unsafe.
Rank over time, top of the chart is #1. 26 snapshots from 10 h ago to 39 min ago.
