Original: IDF maps residence of terrorist who wounded envoy's son at Bell Checkpoint
The Israeli military has carried out a mapping operation at the residence of a Palestinian attacker who shot and wounded the son of a foreign envoy at the Bell Checkpoint in the West Bank. Mapping operations typically precede punitive home demolitions. The attack, which injured a diplomat's son, has drawn attention as Israeli forces weigh further measures.
Why now: The shooting of an envoy's son at a checkpoint and the IDF's mapping of the attacker's home signal possible punitive demolition, keeping the incident in the news.
