Netanyahu says next defense minister should come from Likud, not Ben-Gvir
Original: 'Not Ben-Gvir': Next defense minister should come from Likud, Netanyahu tells ‘Post’
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told the Jerusalem Post that the country's next defense minister should come from his Likud party, explicitly ruling out far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir for the role. The remarks fuel speculation over a possible reshuffle of the defense portfolio and underscore Netanyahu's effort to keep the key security post within his own party rather than cede it to a coalition partner.
