Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told the Jerusalem Post that the country's next defense minister should come from his Likud party, explicitly ruling out far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir for the role. The remarks fuel speculation over a possible reshuffle of the defense portfolio and underscore Netanyahu's effort to keep the key security post within his own party rather than cede it to a coalition partner.
