Xbox to charge hourly fees for streaming games players already own
Original: Xbox wants you to pay 24 to 40 cents per hour to stream games you bought
Microsoft's Xbox is preparing to charge users between 24 and 40 cents per hour to stream games they have already purchased, according to a report picked up widely online. The proposed per-hour pricing model has drawn criticism from players who argue they should not pay recurring fees on top of buying a game outright, and it has quickly become a talking point in gaming communities.
Why now: Gamers are reacting to the prospect of paying ongoing hourly fees to access games they already own.
