The claim that we're living in a 1970 sci-fi film
Original: We are all living inside of an obscure sci-fi film from 1970
A blog essay argues that present-day life resembles an obscure science fiction film from 1970, drawing parallels between the film's vision and current events or technology. The piece has drawn attention and debate among readers interested in retro futurism and how classic speculative cinema holds up against reality. Little else about the argument is available beyond the headline claim itself.
Why now: Readers are drawn to comparisons between vintage dystopian sci-fi and today's world, a perennially popular discussion.
