AI-Assisted Academic Paper Cites Nonexistent TorrentFreak Article
Original: AI-Assisted Paper on Z-Library Cites a TorrentFreak Article That Doesn't Exist
An academic paper discussing Z-Library, produced with AI assistance, has been found to cite a TorrentFreak article that was never published. The fabricated reference is the latest example of AI-generated papers inventing plausible-looking but nonexistent sources, raising fresh concerns about the reliability of AI-assisted research and citation practices.
Why now: AI hallucination in academic publishing remains a hot concern, and the irony of a paper about piracy site Z-Library citing a fake article adds to the attention
