Original: wat is ade
Amsterdam is in the grip of the 30th edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event, with around 650,000 visitors flooding the city. Hotel rooms are extremely expensive and public transport operator GVB is running extra services to cope with the crowds. The five-day electronic music festival has transformed the city centre, with venues across Amsterdam hosting performances and parties.
Why now: The major anniversary edition of one of the world's biggest electronic music festivals is disrupting daily life in Amsterdam right now.
