Amsterdam Dance Event floods city with 650,000 visitors
Original: wat is ade
The 30th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event is in full swing, drawing roughly 650,000 visitors to the Dutch capital. Hotels are charging steep prices, public transport operator GVB is running extra services, and locals are questioning whether attending is still affordable. Some say parties will have to be cut as costs rise, while media are highlighting the best free events, and the city celebrates moments like music on the ferries.
Why now: The milestone 30th ADE edition is dominating Dutch news due to record crowds, high costs and debate over affordability.
