Flock CEO Dismisses Backlash to Company in Leaked Audio
Original: In Leaked Audio, Flock CEO Tells Cops Backlash to the Company Isn't Real
Leaked audio has surfaced in which the CEO of surveillance company Flock tells police officers that criticism and backlash against the company are not real. The remarks are drawing attention given growing public concern over Flock's license plate reading cameras and privacy implications, with critics arguing the comments show the company is dismissive of legitimate civil liberties objections.
Why now: The leaked remarks clash with widespread privacy criticism of Flock's surveillance network, making them controversial.
