Robot-Dog Walkers Wanted at $20 an Hour
Original: Wanted: Robot-Dog Walkers. $20/Hour
A New York Times report describes companies hiring people at around $20 an hour to walk robot dogs, pairing human handlers with quadruped robots in public spaces. The story has drawn attention on tech forums, where commenters are discussing the pay, the novelty of the job title, and what it says about humans working alongside robots in everyday roles.
Why now: The odd combination of a familiar gig job with cutting-edge robotics, at a modest wage, is striking and shareable.
