Original: Trump says he will ban everyone from using the phrase 'artificial intelligence'
US President Donald Trump says he will ban everyone from using the phrase 'artificial intelligence'. The remark drew quick attention and mockery online, with commenters questioning how such a ban could be enforced and what the statement was actually meant to convey. Details about the setting and seriousness of the claim remain limited in initial coverage.
Why now: A sitting president making a sweeping, seemingly unenforceable statement about a widely used technology term invites ridicule and debate.
