Global dockworkers' strike targets Gaza aid blockade
Original: What can a global strike of dockworkers achieve for Gaza? https://www. aljazeera.com/features/2026/10 /30/what-can-a-glo
Dockworkers around the world are being called to join a coordinated strike in solidarity with Gaza, raising the question of what such industrial action can realistically achieve. Al Jazeera examines the history of port workers blocking arms shipments and the potential impact of a global walkout on goods bound for Israel and on international attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Why now: A coordinated international strike by dockworkers over Gaza is a rare and consequential form of labour activism drawing wide attention.
