Gardeners are sharing photos of a towering Phyllostachys vivax 'Huangwenzhu', known as yellow groove bamboo, documenting its rapid growth with a picture series and alt text. They joke about feeling like they are standing in a forest and describe celebrating each new shoot. The post is part of a German photo prompt called 'Hoch hinaus' — reaching high — alongside gardening and plant hashtags.
Why now: The plant's dramatic height and fast growth make it a striking entry in a shared photo challenge about things that reach high.
