UNEP ministerial pushes to turn methane data into action
Original: UNEP’s IMEO Ministerial: Turning Methane Data into Action | UNEP - UN Environment Programme
The UN Environment Programme is holding a ministerial meeting through its International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) focused on converting methane emissions data into concrete policy action. The event aims to help governments and industry use verified measurements to cut methane, a potent greenhouse gas driving near-term warming, amid growing pressure to deliver on global methane reduction pledges.
Why now: Methane reduction is a priority climate topic, and the ministerial highlights how data can drive emissions cuts.
