Activists behind the Stop Killing Games movement are urging people to sign a new European Citizens' Initiative calling for an end to digital ID and online age verification requirements, which they argue threaten internet privacy and access. The petition is open on the European Commission's citizens' initiative portal, and supporters are being asked to share it widely across social media and tech communities.
Why now: Ongoing EU debates over digital identity and age verification rules have mobilised gaming and internet-freedom activists to push a new citizens' initiative.
