Original: University of Houston hosting celebration honoring Artemis II crew
The University of Houston is hosting a celebration honoring the crew of NASA's Artemis II mission, the crewed lunar flight program. The event, reported by Houston media, recognizes the astronauts' mission to the Moon, with the city's strong ties to human spaceflight through the Johnson Space Center drawing local attention to the honor.
Why now: Houston's identity as a hub of human spaceflight makes any public honor for the Artemis II crew locally significant as NASA's lunar program advances.
