Supporters of the Stop Killing Games campaign have launched a new European Citizens' Initiative called Stop Killing The Internet, registered on the EU's citizens-initiative portal. The effort follows the earlier campaign against publishers shutting down purchased video games, and backers are now promoting it across gaming and digital rights communities, linking it to broader EU regulation debates.
Why now: It extends the high-profile Stop Killing Games campaign into a wider fight over internet and digital ownership rights in the EU.
