Alcaraz and Medvedev clash over Grand Slam format change

Original: карлос алькарас

Tennis players are reacting to the possibility that Grand Slam matches could switch from best-of-five sets to a shorter format. Daniil Medvedev said he would prefer playing best-of-three sets at the majors. Carlos Alcaraz disagreed strongly, arguing that a shorter format would 'kill the legacy' of the Grand Slam tournaments. The debate has drawn attention from fans discussing whether tradition or player welfare should come first.

Why now: Medvedev's remarks in favour of a shorter Grand Slam format and Alcaraz's sharp rebuttal have reignited debate about the future of the majors.
