India's Congress party is holding live-covered protests at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanvanshi 'Gyanesh' Kumar, demanding his resignation. Coverage has drawn comparisons to past 'Jantar Mantar 2.0' protest gatherings, and the demonstrations are being widely followed on Indian news channels with high public engagement.

Why now: The opposition's direct call for the Chief Election Commissioner to step down is an unusual escalation in India's row over electoral institutions.
