Original: In first, senior UAE official calls flydubai plane attack an ‘act of terrorism’
A senior UAE official has, for the first time, described an attack on a flydubai aircraft as an 'act of terrorism'. The statement marks a notable escalation in official language from the Emirates, suggesting authorities now publicly characterise the incident as deliberate rather than accidental, and it is drawing wide attention across regional and international media.
Why now: A first-ever official designation of the attack as terrorism signals a significant shift in the UAE's public stance on the incident.
