Rose-Tinted Solar Panels Could Share Farmland With Crops

Original: Finally: Rose-Tinted Solar Panels Could Let Crops And Electricity Share The Same Land https://www. sciencealert.com/fina

Researchers are highlighting rose-tinted solar panels that let farmers generate electricity while still growing crops on the same land. The panels reportedly filter sunlight to wavelengths plants can use, allowing dual use of agricultural space. The development is drawing attention as a possible answer to competition between solar farms and food production.

Why now: Interest in agrivoltaics and land-use conflicts between renewable energy and farming is growing.
