A documentary exhibition by Sabrina Türschmann and Leone Fößel opens in Munich on 10 October at 15:30, documenting conditions in the Mavrovouni refugee camp on Lesbos. Speakers include Arif Haidary of the Bavarian Refugee Council. The announcement has circulated among German-speaking left-wing and refugee solidarity networks, drawing attention to the ongoing situation of asylum seekers on the Greek island.
Why now: The opening date is approaching, and conditions in EU refugee camps on Lesbos remain a contested political topic in Germany.
