A documentary exhibition by Sabrina Türschmann and Leone Fößel opens in Munich on 10 October at 15:30, showing conditions in the Mavrovouni refugee camp on Lesbos, Greece. Speakers at the opening include Arif Haidary of the Bavarian Refugee Council. The event is being promoted by left-wing political circles, and attention centres on the ongoing situation of asylum seekers on the Greek islands and European migration policy.
Why now: Conditions in Greek refugee camps remain a contested political topic, and the exhibition gives the issue a local focus in Munich.
