The Lakenheath Alliance for Peace, backed by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, has held a vigil at RAF Lakenheath, the US air base in Suffolk, England. The protest forms part of long-running local and national opposition to the presence of American nuclear-capable forces at the site, with campaigners calling for the base to remain free of nuclear weapons.
