Brazil's election seen by some as a vote on Trump
Original: For some Brazilians, this election is a vote on Trump
Brazil is holding elections, and for some Brazilian voters the choice is being framed as a referendum on Donald Trump and his influence. According to NPR, some Brazilians see their vote as a way to signal support for or opposition to Trump's politics, tying the country's race to American political currents and prompting debate over how much US politics shapes Brazilian choices.
Why now: Trump's political influence has become a reference point in Brazil's current election campaign.
