Far-right street patrol figures accused of abusing partners
Original: Revealing, anti-migrant campaigners, who abused their partners... # migration # HumanRights # asylum # DomesticViolence
A Guardian report reveals that some individuals active in anti-migrant street patrols in the UK have histories of abusing their former partners. Domestic abuse survivors have come forward to expose ex-partners involved in far-right activist groups. Commenters are highlighting the irony of campaigners who claim to protect communities while allegedly committing violence at home, linking the story to wider debates on migration, human rights and domestic violence.
Why now: A new Guardian investigation exposing domestic abuse allegations against anti-migrant campaigners is drawing attention to hypocrisy in the movement.
