Report reveals domestic abuse by anti-migrant street patrol organisers
Original: Revealing, anti-migrant campaigners, who abused their partners... # migration # HumanRights # asylum # DomesticViolence
A Guardian report has revealed that some men involved in far-right street patrols in the UK, which campaign against migrants and asylum seekers, have themselves abused their former partners. Domestic abuse survivors have come forward to describe their ex-partners' involvement in anti-migrant activism, prompting discussion about hypocrisy within the movement and its links to violence against women.
Why now: The revelation that anti-migrant campaigners are themselves abusers exposes perceived hypocrisy in the far-right movement, drawing attention to domestic violence and migration debates.
