Jon Rahm will not join LIV Golf 2.0, lawyer says terms unacceptable
Original: Jon Rahm will not participate in LIV Golf 2.0: Lawyer says terms for new league are 'unacceptable to him'
Jon Rahm will not take part in a revamped LIV Golf league, referred to as LIV Golf 2.0. According to his lawyer, the proposed terms of the new league are 'unacceptable to him'. The decision is a significant development for the Saudi-backed circuit as it reshapes its structure, and it raises fresh questions about Rahm's long-term future with the tour, which he joined in a high-profile move from the PGA Tour.
Why now: Rahm was the highest-profile signing in LIV Golf's history, so his refusal to commit to the league's new format upends expectations about its future.
