Jon Rahm rejects terms of revamped LIV Golf league
Original: Jon Rahm will not participate in LIV Golf 2.0: Lawyer says terms for new league are 'unacceptable to him'
Jon Rahm will not take part in the restructured LIV Golf league, according to a lawyer who said the proposed terms for the new competition are 'unacceptable to him'. The Spanish golfer had been one of the Saudi-backed circuit's highest-profile signings, so his refusal to commit to the revamped setup raises fresh questions about the league's future and its relations with its top players.
Why now: Rahm is one of LIV Golf's biggest names, so his rejection of the new league's terms signals possible turmoil in the breakaway tour.
