Root DNS security key rollover set for October 11

Original: The keys to the Internet change on October 11. Are you ready?

Cloudflare is warning about the upcoming rollover of the DNS root zone trust anchor, the cryptographic key at the top of the internet's domain name system, scheduled for October 11. Operators of DNS resolvers running outdated software may fail to resolve domains once the new key takes effect, and administrators are urged to update their trust anchors in advance.

Why now: A major DNSSEC root key rollover could break DNS resolution for systems that are not updated, prompting operators to prepare.
