Trump complains he did not win the Nobel Peace Prize

Donald Trump on Friday criticised the decision not to award him the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, renewing his long-running grievance over the award. Speaking at a Republican rally in Syracuse, New York, that was meant to support other GOP candidates, he complained about the snub. Critics quickly noted the irony of his complaint coming in a year when the United States carried out strikes against Iran.
Why now: Trump's public complaint about being denied the Nobel Peace Prize, and the irony of it coming the same year as US strikes on Iran, is drawing ridicule and debate online.
