Donald Trump used a Republican campaign rally in Syracuse, New York on Friday to complain that he did not win the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. Critics pointed out the irony of his remarks, noting the same year included military strikes against Iran. The episode renewed debate over the prize committee's decision and Trump's long-running pursuit of the award.
Why now: The 2026 Nobel Peace Prize was just awarded, and Trump's public reaction is drawing attention and criticism.
