Cynthia Morgan, a longtime school bus driver in Maryland, was fired after she stopped her bus to allow a student to rescue a kitten from the roadside. The dismissal has drawn widespread criticism, with many arguing she showed compassion and good judgment rather than misconduct, and calling on the school district to reconsider its decision.
Why now: People see the punishment as disproportionate to a small act of kindness, sparking outrage online.
