Fans Slam Skinny Carrie Adaptation of Stephen King's Classic
Original: WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER SKINNY CARRIE…(a book versus tv show rant bc what was that miniseries)
Criticism is mounting over a new miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie, with readers arguing the production recast the heroine as a conventionally skinny girl and stripped the story of what made the original book resonate. The complaint echoes a long-running debate: adaptations of Carrie keep missing the point of the novel, and many fans say the book remains the superior version.
Why now: A new Carrie miniseries has sparked backlash among Stephen King readers over casting and fidelity to the book.
