Fans Slam New Carrie Adaptation for Skinny Reimagining
Original: WE DON’T NEED ANOTHER SKINNY CARRIE…(a book versus tv show rant bc what was that miniseries)
An illustrator and commentator has criticised a new Carrie television miniseries, arguing it strays from Stephen King's novel and reshapes the character of Carrie White as thin. The complaint centres on the adaptation prioritising a conventionally attractive lead over the book's depiction of the character, reigniting debate over how faithfully screen versions should follow their source material.
Why now: Frustration over unfaithful book-to-screen adaptations and casting choices keeps these comparisons trending among readers.
