Tesla Says It Cannot Guarantee Roadster Buyers Will Get Their Cars
Original: Tesla 'Cannot Guarantee' Roadster Reservation Holders Will Ever Get a Car
Tesla has acknowledged that it cannot guarantee customers who placed reservations for the long-delayed Roadster will ever receive the vehicle. The comment raises questions about the fate of deposits paid by buyers who have waited years since the second-generation Roadster was first unveiled in 2017, and it has prompted fresh criticism of the company's handling of reservations for vehicles that remain in development.
Why now: Tesla admitted some reservation holders may never receive the Roadster they paid deposits for, angering customers awaiting the long-delayed car.
