San Francisco start-up hires humans to walk robot dogs
Original: Tired of museum work? Looking for a new career? Wanted: Robot-Dog Walkers. $20/Hour. No pooper scooper required. Earlier
A San Francisco start-up posted an unusual job listing earlier this month: people paid $20 an hour to walk robot dogs, no experience necessary. The listing jokes that no pooper scooper is required, and museum workers tired of their careers are among those teasing about a switch. The quirky posting has drawn amused attention as an example of the strange new jobs emerging alongside robotics.
Why now: The absurd but real job listing is being shared as a humorous sign of how robotics is creating odd new occupations.
