San Francisco start-up hiring robot-dog walkers at $20 an hour
Original: Tired of museum work? Looking for a new career? Wanted: Robot-Dog Walkers. $20/Hour. No pooper scooper required. Earlier
A San Francisco start-up has posted an unusual job listing this month: it is hiring people to walk robot dogs, at $20 an hour, with no experience required. The joke making the rounds is that no pooper scooper is needed, though some see it as a serious sign of how robotic pets are moving into everyday services and creating genuinely odd new jobs.
Why now: A quirky job ad combining robotics and gig work is amusing and newsworthy on its face.
